Manitou is attending Intermat this year, in Paris, France during April, with a number of new items in its telehandler and aerial platform range.

First up is the 18m working height 180 ATJ and 16m working height 160 ATJ articulating booms, which both now offer a Stage V-compliant engine - the first of its kind, says the manufacturer. The engine operates without after treatment, with the energy used reduced from 26kwh to 19KwH.The models have also been updated for easier transportation and removal of the basket. They also have a new overall design and new wide wheels.

Joining the booms on Manitou’s stand is a newly-launched and updated model, the AWP 100 VJR vertical mast. The 10m working height mast lift has newly-designed counterweight and turret and is now easily transportable using a forklift.

The 200kg capacity machine offers improved lifting cycles thanks to a new lifting pump. The cable reel and charger plug have been repositioned and there are new anchor points at the top of the mast for better tie down.

The manufacturer’s galvanized basket will also be presented at Intermat. It offers better resistance to rust, salt and general climatic conditions and is available on the 160 ATJ, 180 ATJ, 200 ATJ and TJ 220 models.

New on the telehandler front is the MRT 2470, with a 7 tonne capacity and 24.8m maximum lifting height. The new model has a reach of 20.5m and weigh in at 21.850 tonnes. It is powered by a 176hp Mercedes engine with hydrostatic transmission. The company says it has similar capabilities to a mobile crane, and is easier to install and obtain worksite permits.

Expanding the manufacturer’s telehandler capabilities is the new 1000kg capacity basket attachment for the compact MT 1335 HA Easy. The easily-attachable basket is designed for roofers and bricklayers. The telehandler function offers a capacity of 3.5 tonnes and maximum lifting height of 12.55m and outreach of 8.75m. It is 2.28m wide.

There will also be other new products from the manufacturer’s forklift and skid steer and track loaders ranges at Intermat, taking place 23-28 April in Paris, France.
