Three new loader cranes have joined Palfinger's High Performance range in the 6 to 7 tonne metre class.

The PK 6501 and PK 7001 EH have up to four hydraulic extensions and a hydraulic outreach of 11.2 m. The PK 6501 has a 5.9 tonne metre capacity, while the PK 7001 EH is rated at 6.6 tonne metres.

The PK 7001 K is equipped with up to two hydraulic extensions and has a hydraulic outreach of 6.9 m and a lifting moment of 6.1 tonne metres.

"The lifting moment of the new models was increased by 10% with the dead load remaining almost identical. Combined with weight-optimised main components, the result is up to 15% greater lifting power," said Palfinger.

The EH-version model is equipped with HPLS technology. "With the E-HPLS it is possible to reduce the crane's working speed and simultaneously increase the lifting power if required," added the company.

Electronic regulation of the high-end control valve also means several crane functions can be performed at once.

The K-version model is distinguished by a shorter, weight-optimised boom system. Hydraulic outriggers give a supporting width of up to 5 m.

The models' synthetic and steel control panel also offers increased functionality, adds Palfinger, with the option of LEDs which backlight the instrument.

"These make it easier to read off the machine functions and provide the crane driver with a rapid overview of the entire panel during the working process. The integrated tilt display and the redesigned load carrying plate on the crane, which is matched individually to each crane model, also mean increased safety," comments the company.
