New paver attachment from Gomaco

31 March 2010

Gomaco will exhibit its independent dowel bar insertion (IDBI) attachment on a four-track Commander III paver at the show. The attachment, for the insertion of dowel bars across transverse joints, is powered by a Stage IIIA compliant Caterpillar C4.4 engine and its controls connect to the paver via a CAN cable.

Available for all new four-track Gomaco slipform pavers, the IDBI attachment features simple controls and information is displayed in full colour.

Gomaco will also show its cylinder finishers and slipform pavers designed for the paving of canals. The C-450 is suited to finishing both flat and sloped surfaces with a paving width of between 2,7 m and 31,7 m. The unit is also capable of paving on an incline of up to 450. Alongside the C-450 will be a GT-3600 set up to slipform an above-ground water channel.

The company will also show a commander III slipform paver in a tunnel situation to demonstrate the unique profiles the paver is capable of forming in tight constraints.
