New pedestrian detection camera technology

The FTC Group UK has launched its Pedestrian Detection Camera into the construction market - the product is said to be able to work across any vehicle without the need for anyone on site to wear or carry tags.

The camera system works by detecting pedestrians within a 140 degree angle field of vision, with the possibility for multiple cameras to be fitted to cover a 360 degree field of vision if required.

According to the FTC Group what makes this system stand out is its ability to alert operators and pedestrians alike without the need for either to be fitted with or wearing tags – a benefit on sites where there are numerous different contractors working...Sign in to continue reading.
