Snorkel has appointed Armak Dış Ticaret as its official distributor in Turkey and CIS countries, effective 1 June.

Armak Dış Ticaret, also known as Armak Machinery, is a newly formed business from the owners of Uzmanlar Platform, a producer of truck mounted platforms, and Arkon Group. Armak has an office in Besiktas, Istanbul, and currently shares a facility with Uzmanlar Platforms, however is looking for a dedicated showroom.

Following meetings on the Snorkel stand at Bauma 2016, Armak marked its appointment as a Snorkel distributor at the Ankomat show that took place in Istanbul in early June. It displayed four Snorkel lifts on its stand, all of which were sold during the show, with further orders taken on the stand, including seven Snorkel A46 articulated boom lifts.

Snorkel’s director for the Middle East, Michael Wright, said, “Armak Machinery are well respected in the construction equipment industry here in Turkey, and have an excellent network of contacts, both in the rental and industrial sectors. We are very pleased to be working with a partner of this calibre, and look forward to a successful relationship moving forward.”

Armak is now the sole official distributor for Snorkel, providing sales, parts and service to customers in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Snorkel thanked former distributor ENKA Pazarlama for its service to the Snorkel brand in Turkey.
