Terex Port Equipment has signed a deal for the delivery of four Terex Noell Elevated Busbar Rubber-Tired Gantry Cranes (ERTG) to the Ningbo Port Group Co. Ltd., Phase V Yuandong port terminal in China.

Engineered for space-intensive container stacking and handling, the four Terex Noell ERTGs were ordered to address the growth of containerized handling operations within the framework of its Phase V Yuandong terminal expansion. This new order will bring the number of Terex RTGs up to a total of 139 units operated by Ningbo Port Group in China. Machine delivery is scheduled for late 2011.

"The high quality and robust reliability of Terex Noell RTGs, plus the great relationship that we share with the company's team, had a strong influence on our purchase decision. This contract was awarded on the basis of the machines' excellent quality/price ratio, and the need to sustain our capacity to handle containerized goods reliably and cost-effectively as our terminal continues to grow," said Chen Yongning, engineering department manager, Ningbo Port Group Phase V Yuandong port terminal.
