New Varisco pump

18 March 2008

The Duo Energybank is a new 6 inch (150 mm) pump from Italian manufacturer Varisco. Features include centrifugal self-priming, a new impeller design and two motors - a 7,5 kW electric motor to drive the pump and a smaller motor to drive the vacuum pump. It has a galvanised steel base, and displays instantaneous power consumption. Its ’shut off’ head is 16 m and full flow capability is 300 m3/hr. It is also vacuum primed, and according to the company, the oil-free vacuum pump eliminates daily maintenance. In addition, it says, an `install and forget’ programme means savings of around €250 per month in oil and labour. Varisco has an Italian pump rental business called Varisco Wellpoint.
