New Volvo truck for A R Demolition

A R Demolition, a UK contractor based in Carlton, Leicestershire, has ordered the first Volvo FH16-750 to be delivered into the UK and Ireland from Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia's Bardon Dealerpoint. The FH16 is powered by Volvo's D16G 16 litre diesel that delivers3,550 Nm of torque.

The contractor currently operates two other Volvos - an FM with Boughton hookholder material handling equipment and an FH tractor unit used on both low loader and bulk trailer duties. A new low loader is being purchased for use with the new 6 x 4 double drive tractor, which has been specified by A R with Volvo's latest I-Shift automatic gearbox and retarder together with a transmission oil cooler. The company will also be trialling Volvo's Dynafleet telematics system.

According to the company, the new combincation will provide it with additional flexibility for moving its own plant and equipment. It will also be available to provide a low loader service to other compaies in the area.
