Ningxia Wang Thai Engineering Machinery Co adds the Grove GMK6300L to its rental fleet

China-based crane rental company Ningxia Wang Thai Engineering Machinery acquired a Grove GMK6300L all-terrain crane, following research of both international and domestically-produced 300 tonne capacity all-terrain cranes.

The company took delivery of the Grove unit from Manitowoc in October last year. Ningxia Wang Thai Engineering is said to have chosen the GMK6300L for the versatility of its boom and preferred the Mercedes-Benz engines specified with the crane.

Tang Ming Wang, general manager of Ningxia Wang Thai Engineering, said, “The Grove GMK6300L has a longer main boom length than other six-axle cranes, which means that while other companies might need a bigger crane, we can manoeuvre our GMK6300L in compact construction sites more flexibly and that gives us a greater competitive advantage.”

Jim Cui, vice president of Manitowoc Cranes in China, said, “Although China’s lifting industry – and the whole construction machinery industry – has contracted in recent years, Manitowoc remains focused on continuously enhancing product value, developing products with more functionality and features so that our customers get a better return on investment with their cranes.”
