NTS acquires Dallas traffic safety business

19 May 2013

US rental firm National Trench Safety, LLC (NTS) has completed the acquisition of certain operating assets of Ennis Traffic Safety Centre One Stop (ETSCOS) retail operation in Dallas, Texas.

The Houston-based company, which specializes in the rental and sales of trench and traffic safety equipment, as well as OSHA-compliant training classes, will use its new acquisition to further expand its traffic paint business in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

“We are very excited to be adding the ETSCOS operation to our branch network. Growing the traffic safety business, and particularly the traffic paint line, has been a key focus for NTS for the last few years, so the opportunity presented a strong operational fit,” said Ron Chilton, president of NTS.

The traffic paint business at the ETSCOC depot will continue to operate as usual. NTS will also continue to operate its current NTS branch in Irving, Texas, which will now also serve as area hub for trench and traffic safety. Chilton anticipates several cross selling opportunities between the two operations.

Fred Burlbaw will lead the integration of the ETSCOC operation with the existing NTS branch location.

The new acquisition is NTS’ 21st branch in the US. Additional branch opening are planned throughout 2013 and 2014.
