Oil & Steel have "gone back to basics" with the new Octopussy Evo range of crawler platforms.

Alongside two new Snake, truck mounted platforms, Italian manufacturer, Oil & Steel has launched the Octopussy evo range of crawler mounted aerials.

The Octopussy evos have been designed to help overcome the reservations some potential users may have about crawler platforms. Control and operation is similar to that employed by self propelled booms and Simone Scalabrini, Oil & Steel's general export manager told Access International that he was confident the intuitive new design would help bring the benefits of crawler platforms to a new audience.

There are two machines in the Octopussy evo range the 1500 and 1800 which offer 15 m and 18 m working heights respectively. The 1500evo has a 7 m outreach and a 200 kg load capacity, when the machine is stored it is 1.96 m high, 3.8 m long and 0.78 m wide. The 1800evo offers a 8.5 m outreach with a 200kg payload stored dimensions are 1.96 by 4.54 by 0.78 m.
