Order book up at Eiffage

30 July 2014

Eiffage has seen a 4.8% increase in backlog since the start of the year to achieve €12.3 billion - said to be the equivalent to more than 12 months of activity for the contracting divisions.

However, Eiffage saw a decrease in sales activity for the second quarter of 2014, with consolidated sales at €3.5 billion, down 4.5% on the same period in 2013. The French contractor attributed this to weaker sales following French municipal elections, and a run of public holidays.

Sales in the first half of 2014 remained stable, thanks to a strong start to the year, and sat at €6.5 billion, down just 0.2% on 2013 figures.

The firm’s contracting activities also held steady, at €5.4 billion for the first half of 2014, down 1% on 2013. Construction led the field, with sales of €1.8 billion, up 4.4 % on figures for the first half of 2013. Sales in France remained brisk, especially in the Ile-de-France region, with the country reporting a 5% increase to €1.4 billion.
