At the PartnerLift AGM (annual general meeting) the members were generally positive and confident despite the economic and political situation. Members are still holding back on investing in new equipment during 2010 because of uncertainty, however business levels were described as satisfactory despite the bad weather at the beginning of the year. Some members reported problems with ruinous pricing in some regions which was condemned by the group.
Due to the number of exhibitions taking place in the early part of the year, including Bauma the PartnerLift AGM took place later than usual.
It was reported that the PartnerLift group grew through 2009 spreading beyond German boarders across Europe. It now comprises 130 rental organisations renting 13000 machines, which consist of 8000 aerial work platforms, 2700 material handling machines, 180 cranes and the rest general construction machines.
This year some changes were introduced to the AGM: a logistics manager meeting was included in the event facilitated by Horst Klenert, an experienced logistics manager from the PartnerLift member Weiland from Lampertheim and the afternoon was not filled out with lectures from cooperative suppliers, but given over to discussing important issues affecting the ParterLIFT group and the industry.
Also for the first time the meeting was led of Monika Metzner, who took over the management of PartnerLift in October 2009 since her husband Joachim Metzner. pulled out of the operational business.
As the organisation spreads across Europe the group agreed that the PartnerLift website www.partnerlift.com was increasing in importance. Monthly visitors stand between 40000 and 50000, customers can pick from the entire pool of PartnerLift rental equipment, see all the individual PartnerLift enterprises and their fleets and contact them direct.
Working towards improving service further was also raised. The company is working on instigating a quality check for all PartnerLift of enterprises, which will help ensure a uniform high performance standard.
