Plantworx student’s day will take place on Thursday June 13

Plantworx 2019 is to hold a student day to which pupils, students and graduates are invited.

The construction machinery exhibition will be open to young people on the final day of the event, which takes place from June 11 to 13 in Peterborough, United Kingdom.

Organisers said there is no minimum age limit and that parents, grandparents and guardians are invited to bring their children along.

The student day is being held to address the skills gap in the construction industry. Plantworx said that the show will give young people a better understanding of the UK construction industry.

As part of student day, this year’s exhibition will include special attractions for its younger visitors. A version a popular construction equipment theme park will be provided by plant hire company HE Services and will allow visitors to try out ‘diggers’ first-hand in a safe environment.

Exhibitors Nylacast and Perkins have sponsored the event’s Student Trail, where participants will be encouraged to visit exhibitor stands on the trail and engage in challenges relating to the construction equipment industry.

Hosted by the Construction Equipment Association, the fourth biennial Plantworx exhibition is expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors.
