RAG-Stiftung acquires temporary space provider Röder

25 November 2014

Investment company RAG-Stiftung has acquired Germany-headquartered temporary space provider Röder, which rents and sells marquees and big tents, for an undisclosed amount.

With 2013 revenues of over €80 million, Röder targets a range of industries including sporting events, corporates, exhibitions and industrial warehousing. The group has 500 employees and operates across the globe, with a presence in markets including China, Russia and Turkey.

Investment bank Canaccord Genuity advised private equity firm Zurmont Madison on its sale of Röder – a transaction which is expected to complete by the end of January 2015.

Röder said that while the service sector, for example the event and exhibition industry, had long been an important pillar of the company, it also saw prospects for growth in the infrastructure and environmental protection industries.

Röder CEO Rüdiger Blasius said, "In light of our ambitious growth targets, we are pleased to have a long term committed partner such as RAG-Stiftung at our side."

The company added that its current management structure would continue to lead the company.
