Alimak Scando 650 Rapid Platforms invests in updated Alimak Scando 650

Access rental specialists Rapid Platforms, part of the AFI group of companies, is adding the new and improved Alimak Scando 65/32 goods and passenger hoist to its Rack and Pinion Hoists hire division.

Alimak’s Scando 65/32 hoist has a 2,400kg lift weight and has been enhanced with energy-efficient drives to provide lower power consumption, leading to reduced operational costs. The hoist is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre onsite even in the toughest working conditions.

Oliver Warburton, national sales manager at Rapid Platforms, said, “At Rapid, we have many years’ experience providing a bespoke hire service to customers across the UK. Because of this dedication to providing the best fit for all our customers, we have decided to invest in the 2,400kg Scando 65/32 hoist from Alimak, which we hope will help fulfil customers’ needs going forward. Not only this, but the Rapid Hoists division installers are manufacturer trained, and incredibly helpful.”

Well established for powered access and hoist sales and hire in the South East, Rapid is now offering the service across the UK. The hoists team provides a bespoke hire service, a free site survey for each hire, and a full installation service.
