US company FallTech, a leading manufacturer of fall protection products, has re-engineered and updated its Journeyman FLEX work-duty harness.

The new version of the harness is available in both aluminium and steel models. According to FallTech, comfort has been enhanced on the new model thanks to enhanced padding with air mesh lining, which also allows better air circulation and moisture wicking. The aluminium model is easy to adjust via FallTech’s CamLock torso adjusters, which the company says enable quick, one-handed adjustment that locks in place throughout the day. The harness also has visual indicators on the chest and legs (Visi-Lock Quick Connect buckles) that display green when properly fastened. According to FallTech, the Journeyman FLEX harness also features webbing with a tighter construction for added strength and durability while maintaining pliability for ease of movement, and strategically positioned Hip D-rings to optimise work positioning.

“When re-engineering the Journeyman FLEX harness line we had to keep an eye on the attributes that have made it a success,” said Jeff Shipley, director of marketing at FallTech. “We know there are numerous applications for full body harnesses; we had to make sure we addressed these applications in both the aluminium and steel models with the correct configurations users require. The Journeyman FLEX aluminium and steel harnesses embody the interest and feedback we captured during the development process from users.”
