Record 2006 for Palfinger

15 April 2008

Preliminary 2006 results for Palfinger show a 12.5% rise in revenue and indicate another year of record growth. Revenue compared with 2005 rose by € 65.1 million (US$85 million) to € 585.2 million ($759 million). EBIT were up € 11.9 million ($15 million), or 18.2%, more than the previous year at € 77 million ($100 million), equivalent to an EBIT margin of 13.2%. Final results will be published on 28 February.

The Austria-based knuckle boom crane manufacturer attributes the increase to “strong organic growth in the core cranes segment in Europe, as well as to the favourable market environment and the high level of capacity utilisation achieved in all production areas.” Growth would have been even higher without materials shortages and capacity bottlenecks, the company said.
