Red-D-Arc expands in UK with acquisition

30 June 2014

US-based power generator rental company Red-D-Arc Welderentals has expanded its presence in the UK with the acquisition of Hember Limited.

Headquartered in Warrington, Lancashire, Hember was established in 1974 as a privately-owned provider of rental welding equipment and associated welding products, and grew to five locations with more than 26 associates throughout the UK.

"We are very excited to welcome the associates and customers of Hember into the Red-D-Arc family," said Mitch Imielinski, president of Red-D-Arc Welderentals.

"We look forward to continuing to offer the excellent service and expansive product offering that Hember's customers have come to expect, and we anticipate a bright future for Hember and Red-D-Arc together under the Red-D-Arc name."

Red-D-Arc said the deal expanded its UK presence to include more than 40 associates in seven locations, all offering the company's full line of welding positioners, manipulators, turning rolls, and other weld automation products for sale and lease, as well as a range of Red-D-Arc welding products and equipment for both long-term and short-term rental.

In addition, Red-D-Arc said its associates could provide full-service design and fabrication of turn-key weld automation packages that could be tailored to specific customer needs.
