Ritchie Bros establishes UK auction site

15 March 2012

Construction equipment auction house Ritchie Bros has set up a new UK auction site at Donington Park, Leicestershire, and plans to hold its first auction there on 17 April.

The new site brings to 44 the number of auction sites Ritchie Bros operates around the world, including seven sites in Europe.

April's auction also coincides with one of the construction equipment industry's biggest calendar events this year - the Intermat show in Paris, which takes place from 16 to 21 April. However, attendees at the show will also be able to take part in the auction online, viewing real-time bidding from the Ritchie Bros stand at Intermat.

The company said over 300 items had already been listed for the unreserved public auction, including mini excavators, backhoe loaders, wheeled loaders, rollers and pavers.

Ritchie Bros EMEA managing director Guylain Turgeon said, "With live online and on-site bidding, the equipment seller is now closer than ever to the global market."
