Corrosion protection company Rostocker Korrosionsschutz in Germany has taken delivery of its fourth new Liebherr crane in two years. The 500 tonne capacity LTM 1500-8.1 joins LTM 1350-6.1, LTM 1200-5.1 and the LTC 1045-3.1. It will help to fulfil the company's motto, "We move what we handle."

The LTM 1500-8.1 will be based at Bremerhaven in North Germany to move and erect parts for offshore wind turbines. The offshore industry is an important and growing area for the company.

Detlef Krebs, managing director, explained the company's strategy, "We provide a full service. It is very important to have lifting equipment in various load capacity categories, because this allows us to optimise our production processes and deploy our personnel optimally."

Rostocker Korrosionsschutz has 85 employees and is part of the Krebs Group founded in 1949, which employs almost 400 people at nine locations in Germany. Detlef and Manfred Krebs are the third generation to run the business.
