Rothlehner Group has reported a profitable 2014 and is cautiously optimist for 2015.

This year the group’s turnover hit target at about €30 million with sales of 650 platforms, surpassed only by the boom years of 2007 and 2008, said the company.

“With rather more cautious optimism for 2015, we expect consolidation at a high level,” added a company spokesman.

Rothlehner bought the rights to Danish truck and trailer mount manufacturer Denka’s products in 2013 and transferred production to its home country of Germany. The company used APEX in June this year to officially present the acquisition and the new worldwide Denka Support service.

The company has represented Denka Lift since the 1990s and has a longstanding cooperation with Haulotte which, said the company, has led to a high number of sales, particularly in the Czech Republic.

“With further brand representations, continual development of our workshop and customer service network and training activities, the Rothlehner sales company has continuously developed in five central European countries, and likewise our associated service company, Lift-Manager, in Germany,” said the spokesman. Rothlehner has also represented GSR in all its markets for 15 years, and is a shareholder of PB-Lifttechnik.

The company said it now plans to grow its activities in Hungary and in August employed Jozsef Merva as its export manager in the country.
