Sany has unveiled the wold's largest concrete placing boom at BICES - an 86 m, 7-section unit.

Sany has used the BICES exhibition in Beijing to unveil the world's largest concrete placing boom. The truck-mounted unit has a maximum height of 86 m.

Mounted on Sany's own nine-axle chassis, and given the product designation SY51100THB 86, the on-board concrete pump has a maximum output of 240 m3 per hour. The boom itself is a seven-section design, which Sany also says is a world first.

It is the second time that Sany has claimed a world record for the world's largest concrete placing boom. In 2007 it launched a 56 m machine, which at the time was said to be the largest in the world.

The machine is part of Sany's E-generation of truck-mounted concrete pumps, and features two-stage telescopic swing- out outriggers in an X-pattern.
