SAPTA chooses Sennebogen for bridge build
28 July 2016
Algeria-based construction company SAPTA (system automation and power engineering in turnkey application) is using four Sennebogen cranes at the same time for a bridge construction near Algiers.
The company has two 80 tonne capacity 2200 crawler cranes and, over the last two years, purchased a 683 telescopic boom moddel and a 120 tonne capacity 6113 telescopic from sales and service partner EURL SM Maintenance. All four are working simultaneously on the bridge construction project, lifting heavy construction parts weighing up to 60 tonnes and up to 40 metres long.
Being able to move easily under load is where the telescopic cranes proved their worth, the company said.
The largest of the cranes, the 6113, has a maximum reach of 40.2 m. Its multi-cylinder system is used to ensure that any boom position can be approached smoothly and without interruption, explained the manufacturer.
