The first Cranes and Transport Middle East (CATME) conference - organised by International Cranes and Specialized Transport magazine and KHL Group - will be on 8 December 2016 in Dubai, UAE.

It will be a high-level, one-day conference with a focus on improving health and safety in lifting and transport operations, increasing the efficiency of fleet management practices, and enhancing the productivity of equipment on site. Presentations will highlight best practice advice and case studies from around the world.

The event will have free entry for industry professionals.

CATME will be a valuable learning and networking event for anyone working in the region’s crane and specialized transport sector. The conference will cover a wide range of equipment and markets, including the following:

  • Mobile and crawler cranes
  • Tower cranes
  • Specialized transport equipment, including SPMT
  • Business sectors, including construction, energy, oil and gas and general industry.

The Middle East remains one of the world’s most active construction and infrastructure markets. Governments continue to invest heavily in transport, utilities and ports, and are making efforts to diversify their economies beyond their reliance on hydrocarbons. There will be enormous demand for lifting and specialized transport services.

A networking reception will be held the evening before the conference on 7 December 2016.

CATME will be at the Conrad Dubai hotel, P.O. Box 115143; Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The hotel is in the financial and shopping district and offers panoramic views, three dining and entertainment venues and a luxury spa and fitness centre. Dubai International Airport is a 20-minute drive from Conrad Dubai. Free valet parking is available on site.
