High Clay Content Meant That Some Material Extracted From Pole Hole Quarry near Harlow, UK used to have to be rejected because washing costs were to high. Quarry operator Frank Lyons Group has now invested in a Neuenhauser Starscreen to help process the secondary aggregate.

According to Neuenhauser, the three fraction tracked Starscreen is the only machine which is capable of removing 85% of clay from waste materials. Since taking delivery, the operator has been able to recycle larger aggregate than before and has cleared three years-worth of previously unusable stockpiled material.
