Skanska has been awarded a US$ 93 million contract to build the new Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences Education Complex and to complete renovations and the expansion of the existing Small Animal Hospital for Texas A&M University (TAMU) at its main campus in College Station, Texas.

The 28,000 m2 new building will house state-of-the-art classrooms, teaching and laboratory space, and a café with indoor and outdoor dining areas. Together with the expansion of the small animal hospital, the new facilities will accommodate up to 500 teachers and students.

Construction work is underway and scheduled for completion in April 2016, to coincide with the 100-year anniversary of TAMU’s College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences.
