Socage is working with an insulated platform manufacturer, Guiton to develop its business in South America - Guiton is based in San Paulo Brazil.
In the last year Socage said that contacts between the companies have intensified and they have now created GS - Guiton Socage, a joint venture company, which is already generating good results.
GS is extending its market in South America by collaboration with three other companies: Proing (Colombia), Alo Rental (Chile) and Auriga (Mexico). These companies are providing sales and after sale support and technical assistance to help grow the network and sales of Socage platforms in South America.
Nicola Zago, the GS commercial director said, "The three firms share a vast experience in the market, their businesses are well organised in terms of technology and resources, they have highly qualified staff and they have a long tradition of professionalism."
GS - Guiton Socage exhibited some Socage platforms at M&T Expo 2012, 29 May - 2 June, held in San Paulo. On the stand was the SPJ315, a very compact tracked unit and the DA320, a double articulated vehicle mounted aerial platform. Nicola Zago said that the DA320 is suitable for the Latin American market because of its versatility, "It can be installed on most of the vehicles, is compact and has low maintenance costs."
