The UK's Executive Hire Show (EHS) has sold out its main exhibition hall and is now adding a further exhibition space in an upper level of the Ricoh Arena venue in Coventry.

The organisers said 106 companies have booked the show - filling the main hall - so a new ‘top tier' space suitable for up to 44 additional stands is being added. The new product ‘Innovation Zone' is also being relocated to the new area.

The show takes place on 8-9 February, 2012.

Robert Aplin, director of EHS, said the organiser had considered moving to a new location to accommodate a bigger show but had concluded that the Ricoh Arena remained the best venue; "We utilised the ‘Top Tier' at the Ricoh some years ago for the HAV (hand arm vibration) conference, which was a success, therefore we know how it works and more importantly we know how to work it.

"We intend to drive traffic to the new area, without detracting from the main hall, and will be putting all of our efforts into increasing visitor levels without compromising on quality."

The main hall will host the big name exhibitors, including Wacker Neuson, Hilti, Makita, Volvo, JCB and Husqvarna. New exhibitors in 2012 include APT Construction, Meccalte and MOBA.

Yvette Henshall-Bell, JCB's UK & Ireland sales director said, "Having established itself as the benchmark exhibition for the hire industry, The Executive Hire Show represents and ideal opportunity for JCB to show case its compact equipment ranges. The Show has earned its place in our exhibition calendar and dovetails with the Hillhead quarry event for our large earthmoving and materials handling plant."

The 2011 EHS attracted 1843 visitors, of which 89% were independent hirers.
