South Korea’s Z-Ton Group moves into China

South Korea’s Z-Ton Group has entered the Chinese aerial platform market with 20 and 25 m truck mounted aerial platform.

The company has been selling machines in its home market since 2009 and in South East Asia for around three years, but since March this year it has been selling two of its ATOM lifts in China through a partnership with Beijing Beizhong Auto Modification Co Ltd. Beijing Beizhong mounts the Korean booms onto Chinese trucks.

The company is exhibiting the machines at the BICES exhibition in Beijing, taking place on 22-25 September.

The ATOM 250 has a 25 m maximum working height and maximum 20 m outreach over the rear with 200 kg cage capacity (that reach falls to less than 15 m with 300 kg cage). The use of a six piece telescopic boom keeps overall stowed length to 5 m.

Notable design features of the ATOM 250 include a chain-type boom lengthening mechanism and X-profile outriggers.

Z-Ton was founded in 2003 and initially focused on ground support equipment, making its first truck mounted platform in 2009. Its range includes models with working heights from 10 m up to the 31 m ATOM 320. It also makes a range of truck cranes.
