Spider hires new operations managers

Spider, a division of SafeWorks LLC, recently hired two new operations managers for its Las Vegas and New York locations.

Eric Valentine was hired as operations manager for the company's Las Vegas location and Joe Simone was hired as operations manager for Spider's New York location.

Valentine will be responsible for leading branch operations in Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and southern Utah. Most recently, Valentine held a position as sales manager/operations at Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services, a scaffolding, insulation, refractory and coatings company for the refining and power industries. He has more than 16 years of experience in sales and operational management in elevator, construction and logistics markets.

"Spider is passionate about equipping its team with strong leaders to deliver the reliable experience our customers expect," said John Sotiroff, vice president of sales and distribution. "Our Las Vegas branch is in capable hands as Eric draws on his extensive variety of business experience to lead them to success."

On the other side of the country, Joe Simone will head up operations as manager for Spider's New York location, covering all of the New York region. "Joe's tancity, knowledge and solid record of leadership have helped him foster relationships with both customers and associates, and we look forward to his contributions to our outstanding New York team."

Simone previously served as warehouse operations manager for Union Beer Distributors in Brooklyn, NY and has been in the distribution industry for more than 15 years.
