Spierings’ sales engineer, Mathieu Braamhaar, hands over the keys to Schmidbauer’s first Spierings crane: a SK 597-AT4.

Germany-based heavy load expert, the Schmidbauer Group, has taken delivery of its first SK 597-AT4 mobile crane from Netherlands-based mobile folding tower crane manufacturer Spierings Mobile Cranes. It will be used in Schmidbauer’s Hannover depot.

Schmidbauer was looking for a fast and efficient mobile crane with a long jib. According to Spierings, the SK 597-AT4 combines the longest jib in its four-axle range (with a 48 metere radius) with a compact vehicle length. It has a maximum lifting height of 27.8 m with the jib horizontal, and 58.1 m with the jib at a 45 degree upward angle. With a maximum load of 7,000 kg without using the additional ballast blocks and a fast assembly time, Spierings said it is confident that the crane will meet Schmidbauer’s requirements.
