St Petersburg ring road tender expected

A tender for the planning of improvement work on the St Petersburg ring road (KAD) in Russia, between the Priozerskoye highway and Gorskaya railway station, is expected to be announced by the St Petersburg authorities this month (May), according to Central and Eastern Europe market specialist PMR.

The 23km stretch of road is planned to be widened from four lanes to six. The planning work is due to be completed by the end of 2013, and the contract will cost RUB164 million (€4.1 million).

Construction work is expected to begin in 2014 and must be completed by the end of 2015. The amount invested will be RUB11 billion (€275 million).
