Studdert to head up IPAF Asia Conference

Andy Studdert, chairman and CEO of US-based NES Rentals, and IPAF president, will give the keynote address at the IPAF Asia Conference in Hong Kong on 26 May.

Drawing on his previous experience as COO of United Airlines, he will show how principles of aviation safety can be applied to the powered access industry.

Also speaking are: Brad Boehler, president of Skyjack, on ‘Great potential for powered access in Asia: But where are we now?’ and Kimmo Koskensalo, chief technology officer of Scanclimber, on ‘Mast climbing work platforms: How safe are they?’

The IPAF Asia Conference features rare presentations by speakers from the region, who will provide valuable insights into the developments, growth opportunities and challenges in emerging AWP markets. Confirmed speakers and panelists include representatives from the Hong Kong Occupational Safety & Health Council, the Singapore Ministry of Manpower, the Hong Kong Federation of Occupational Safety & Health, and the China Occupational Safety & Health Association.

The conference will be held at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong. It will be in English with simultaneous translation into Mandarin. It will run from 8 am to 4:30 pm on 26 May. On the day before, 25 May, a site visit to an IPAF training centre (1:30 to 5:30pm) and a networking event (7 to 10pm) will take place.
