Swedish company Swepac, best known for its plate compactors, has entered the concrete equipment market with a range of screeds and power trowels.

The screed range will comprise fixed screeds up to 7.2 m and modular screeds up to 25 m length, while the power trowels will be in 600 - 1100 mm diameter sizes. Also on show at Bauma will be a series of concrete poker vibrators.

"We are combining 30 years of experience with state of the art design", said product manager Hans Holmlund, “It is not often you get a chance to start a dream project like this.”

Swepac’s existing product range includes forward vibratory plates from 50 - 140 kg and reversible vibratory plates from 160 - 500 kg.

The company is also aiming to expand its export sales. "Swepac has always had strong market coverage in the Nordics”, said sales and marketing manager Åke Lindgren. “The company has a reputation for designing and manufacturing high quality machinery with a Swedish touch. Now is the time for offering our products to other markets.

“Bauma will be a start for our expansion into Central and Eastern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. We are also looking for distributors in certain areas, welcome to take contact with us during or after Bauma”.
