Tadano ATF 180G-5 for FTO

Lift service provider FTO Fertigteilwerk Obermain, based in Germany has taken delivery of a Tadano ATF 180G-5 all terrain crane.

The five-axle model has a 180 tonne capacity and a maximum boom length of 73.2 metres when configured with a 13.2 m boom extension. It is also fitted with a Tadano lift adjuster, which prevents the load from swinging out during lifting.

Detlef Dressel, FTO managing director, said, “Seven years ago we chose a Tadano crane, the ATF 110G-5. The crane's performance is tremendous and we have never had any problems with the service. Compared to other cranes in the 180 ton class the model from Tadano is the best for us.”

The first task for the ATF 180G-5 was in Hersbruck, Germany, where it helped build a new production hall. Tasks for the crane included lifting a girder which weighed 18 tonnes. The crane was configured with a 50 tonnes counterweight and a 5.4 m long heavy duty jib.
