USA-based crane and transport service provider Crane Rental Corporation helped transport three large liquid natural gas (LNG) tanks in south Florida.

The tanks were 40.9 metres long, 3.81 m wide and 4.2 m tall. Each weighed 75.2 tonnes. The tanks were sailed along the Miami River by barge.

Crane Rental Corp offloaded the tanks from the barge and loaded them onto 18 lines of THP Goldhofer modular trailer using a 275 US ton (249 tonne) capacity Grove GMK5275 hydraulic all terrain crane and a 240 ton (217 tonne) capacity Grove GMK5240 hydraulic all terrain crane.

The tanks were then transported more than five miles (8 km) to the site where they will be used to fuel locomotives with liquid natural gas. The transport was accompanied by police escort through Miami. Along the route they crossed railroad tracks and travelled under two bridges.
