TCA Lift has successfully completed the delivery of a Falcon Spider FS420 tracked platform to the top of the Makkah Clock Tower in Saudi Arabia.

The FS420 had to be hoisted 400 m above the city to be delivered to its new home. The platform, which offers a working height of 42 m, will now be used to perform maintenance and cleaning works at the Islamic Museum and Lunar Observation Centre, also housed in the 76-storey building.

Towering at a height of 600 m, the Makkah Clock Tower is the second tallest building in the world, after the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Its 400 m clock is five times larger than that of the Houses of Parliament in London.
