TCA Lift has delivered two Falcon Spider FS290 lifts to the King Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, Morocco.

The four lifts, all offering a 29 m working height, will be used for regular internal and external maintenance work at the mosque.

Brian Falck Schmidt, sales manager at TCA LIFT, said: “The Falcons were chosen due to the unique performances, the dual power system and the double jib. The unique double jib comes to its own right in this amazing and huge building.

“Also, the low ground pressure was another reason to choose the FS290. The floor is a vast mosaic, but due to the low ground pressure of the Falcon the unit is able to drive on the flooring.”

The mosque was designed by the French architect Michel Pinseau, and is topped by a soaring 210m tall minaret, which shines a laser beam towards Mecca by night.
