Terex AWP used Bauma to launch a number of new products, including a new hybrid Z-boom and compact telehandler.

The Genie Z-45/25XC boom lift is a redesigned larger capacity version of the brand’s RT Genie Z-45/25J RT diesel-powered articulating boom. Combining up to 100 percent more lift capacity and weighing 440 kg (967 lb), with new design features including a new 1.83 m (6 ft) dual-entry platform and reinforced components to support additional weight in the platform, the Genie team said the new Z-45/25XC boom will offer owners the high rental return on invested capital (rROIC) that their business success relies on.

Offering a maximum working height of 15.9 m (51 ft 6 in), a maximum horizontal outreach of 7.55 m (24 ft 9 in), and an up-and-over clearance of 7.3 m (23 ft 11 in), the unit combines the benefits of a dual-envelope design providing an unrestricted load capacity of 300 kg (660 lb) and a restricted capacity of 454 kg (1000 lb). When operated with the primary boom in retracted position, this machine’s maximum working height and horizontal outreach are reduced by no more than 1.7 m (5ft 6 in).

The new Genie Z-45/25XC boom will be available in EMEAR in Q4, 2016.

The company also debuted its new GTH-3007 compact telehandler that provides a maximum lift capacity of 3000 kg (6,614 lbs), a vertical reach capacity of 2500 kg (5,511 lbs) at a maximum height of 7 m (23 ft), and a horizontal reach capacity of 1000 kg (2,205 lbs) at 4 m (13 ft). The new unit comes with a 74-hp Deutz Stage IIIB (Tier IV Final) compliant engine.

The company also showed its new articulating Z-60/37 FE boom that combines the benefits of advanced diesel power, four-wheel drive performance and the cleaner, quieter efficiency of compact, low weight electric powered booms.

The new Genie Z-60/37 FE boom lift provides the choice of two modes of operation: Full-electric, which means full-day emission-free performance on a single charge, or hybrid mode which provides more than a week of run time with a single tank of diesel.

Providing 20,16 m (65 ft 7 in) of working height, 11.4 m (36 ft 7 in) of horizontal outreach and 7.4 m (24 ft 3 in) of up-and-over clearance, the Genie Z-60/37 FE lift is equipped as standard with a 1.5 m (5 ft) jib offering 70 degrees up and 65 degrees down range of motion and a 160 degree platform rotation. It also boasts a narrow footprint and a low 58 cm (23 in) tail swing. The platform comes in 1.8 m (6 ft) or 2.4 m (8 ft) with a capacity of 227 kg (500 lb) to take on board two people across the entire working envelope. Both platforms offer a side entry swing gate and front sliding mid rail as standard. The 2.4 m (8ft) platform comes with an additional side sliding mid rail, opposite the gate, for a total of three entry points.
