Teupen launches new concept in access

Teupen has launched the Puma 42 GTX. The combination of a high-tech walking excavator chassis and an aerial platform, Teupen has described the machine as a new category in access equipment.

Euan Youdale editor of Access International spoke to Michael Scheuss,Teupen CEO and Tobias Ritzenhöfer, director of engineering about the launch - click on the link in the image to see the video.

Together the chassis, manufactured by Menzi Muck, and the Teupen platform offer extreme off-road capability at tilting angles of up to 17°.

The new platform offers a working height of 42.70m with a basket capacity of 400 kg. It achieves rough terrain travelling speeds up to 10 km/h with its 115 kW engine.

It has a tank volume of 200 litres and 230 litres additional reserve for long operating times and reach.

The machine is designed to be compact with a weight of 17.60 tonnes and horizontal reach of up to 16.70 m with 300kg in the basket.
