Top CEOs join line-up for first International Rental Conference (IRC)

The CEOs of Loxam and Coates Hire and the executive leading Hertz’s rental business in China are among the speakers confirmed for the first International Rental Conference (IRC), to be held in Beijing, China on 14 October this year.

Gérard Déprez (Loxam’s CEO), Leigh Ainsworth (CEO of Coates Hire), and Jay Early (vice president, Europe, Middle East and China for Hertz Equipment Rental Co), have joined United Rentals’ CEO Michael Kneeland in the speaker line-up for the conference. As previously announced, Mr Kneeland will give the keynote address.

Bud Howard, global rental director at Volvo Rents, has also confirmed his participation.

Chinese speakers include Mr Chai Zhao Yi, managing director of Shanghai Pangyuan Construction Equipment Rental, China’s largest rental company, and Mr Wang Li Chun, chairman of Xuzhou Gongli Road and Bridge Construction Machinery Co, a mid-size rental company based in Xuzhou.

The line-up ensures that the IRC will be the highest profile rental event ever held in Asia and the first time that the CEO’s of the largest rental companies in Asia, North America and Europe have appeared together at a conference. It will act as a forum for the worldwide and Asian rental community, providing top-level advice on rental management and business trends.

The IRC – which is being held the day before the BICES construction exhibition in Beijing - takes place at the Swissôtel in central Beijing and is organised by International Rental News and its publisher, KHL Group.

The conference has the support of the Machinery Management & Rental Division of the China Construction Industry Association (CCIA). The division’s managing director, Mr Jia Li Cai, will open the conference.
