He joins a line up of conference speakers from four continents and will give the opening presentation of the day-long technical conference, which along with the World Demolition Awards is now in its 14th year.

Kurt will speak on meeting the challenges of international demolition projects, drawing on his 20 years of experience on the demolition contractor side of the industry as well as his current role, which he took up in the summer of 2021.

He specialises in project management, risk assessment, decommissioning, dismantling and asbestos removal on complex projects involving nuclear facilities, power plants and petrochemical sites.

Before joining Tractebel, Kurt was project manager at the Aertssen Group for five years from 2016 and before that spent seven years at DDM Belgium.

The World Demolition Summit is organised by D&Ri in co-operation with the European Demolition Association and the US National Demolition Association. The headline sponsor is Volvo Construction Equipment.
