Travis Perkins has taken delivery of its 1,500th JCB machine after investing more than £3 million (US$ 4.7 million) in its fleet.

The UK supplier has purchased a range of products from JCB, including a large number of JCB 8008 micro and JCB 8014CTS mini excavators to be used by its tool hire business, Travis Perkins Tool Hire. The order also includes a number of JCB Teletruks.

“We operate in a very competitive marketplace and are committed to providing our customers with the most efficient and modern equipment available", said Richard Dey, Travis Perkins’ group hire director.

"The addition of the latest micro and mini excavators ensures we continue to exceed our customers’ expectations and maintain industry-leading utilisation rates for our fleet,”

Leicester-based JCB dealer Watling JCB supplied the machines.
