TVH pledges $15,000 to Boys & Girls Club

02 July 2015

TVH in the Americas (TVH) has pledged a $15,000 donation to the launch of a school year Boys & Girls Club serving Olathe’s youth. With an additional matching provision, this commitment from TVH could be increased by another $5,000 when TVH employees make individual donations which TVH will match on a dollar-for-dollar basis. TVH will match donations made by employees from all locations to their local Boys & Girls Clubs.

"It is our hope that helping to launch the Olathe Club will not only be a great opportunity for our local youth, but also a great opportunity for our employees to get involved directly in the community through volunteering in support of the activities and education that goes on at the Club," TVH said in a statement.

"The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City has served as a leader in youth development programming and advocacy efforts for youth across this community for more than a century. The Clubs serve as a beacon of hope, stability and opportunity to young people in some of our community’s toughest neighborhoods."

The Club is open whenever school is closed, including most holidays, inclement weather days and many days during the summer months, to make sure youth have a safe place to spend their time, structured activities to keep their minds and bodies occupied and adults to provide guidance and serve as role models. Youth development programming offered by the Clubs fits within four core areas: Healthy Lifestyles, Education & Careers, Technology, and Public Speaking & Leadership.

The Boys & Girls club in Olathe will be located at the Center of Grace on 520 S. Harrison Street, near the city core.
