Two CEOs confirmed as speakers for IRC conference in China

Two European rental company CEOs have joined the line-up for the 4th International Rental Conference (IRC). Xavier du Boÿs of French giant Kiloutou and Norty Turner with aerial platform specialist Riwal have been confirmed as speakers.

Mr Turner is a former Hertz Equipment Rental Corp executive who has led Netherlands-based Riwal since early 2012. Riwal is one of the world's largest aerial platform rental specialists with operations in Europe, Brazil, the Middle East and India.

Xavier du Boÿs, meanwhile, has been the senior executive at Kiloutou since 2001. Kiloutou is one of Europe's largest general rental companies, reporting revenues of €460 million in 2015 and operating in France, Spain and Poland. It recently entered the German market with the acquisition of aerial platform company Starlift.

The two men, who are among the most experienced rental executives working in Europe, will speak on rental management topics.

They join a conference programme that already includes senior figures in the industry, such as Bill Whitehouse, COO of Kennards Hire in Australia; Matt Fearon, President of Terex AWP/Genie; Gary McArdle, COO at Rouse Services; and Desmond Soh, Vice President – Asia at JLG Industries.

The conference, organised by International Rental News (IRN) and KHL Group, is being held on Monday 21 November in Shanghai, close to the venue for the Bauma China exhibition, which opens the following day on 22 November. See www.khl.com/irc for details.

The line-up includes Chinese speakers such as Fei Xiaodong, Vice General Manager of XCMG Guanglian Machinery Leasing, and Khun Tan, founder and Chief Executive of Guangzhou Liluo Mechanical Equipment Leasing Co Ltd.

Also speaking is Cyril Drouin, an eCommerce specialist at Saatchi & Saatchi in China, who will look at how equipment rental companies can establish an eCommerce businesses and consider the impact of web messaging services such as WeChat.
