Two new models join Genesis Equipment's scrap grapple line

23 July 2012

Genesis Equipment has added two new models at the top end of its GSG scrap grapple range that provide lifting volumes of 1.5 (53) and 1.9 cubic metres (67 cubic feet) respectively. Existing models cover volumes from 0.6 cubic metres (21 cubic feet)) through to 1.2 cubic metres (42.4 cubic feet).

According to the company, the range has been designed for reduced maintenance requirements, improved durability, lower operating costs and enhanced safety. All GSG grapples feature hardened steel bearings with dust seals at all pivot points; a heavy duty cylinder guarding system; reverse mounted and large bore cylinders; and long life abrasion resistant steel tips that are easy to replace.

Acording to Genesis design engineer Dan Raihala: "Increasing the number of models was the next logical step in the GSG evolution. Coupled with the GSG's low maintenance features, larger capacity grapples will enable Genesis customers to further increase productivity."
