Orbit Net puts its new Isoli PNT 205NLX 20m articulated boom to work

UK distributor for Isoli, Access Platform Sales (APS), has has sold two booms in the UK recently.

Kent-based Internet service provider Orbital Net was hiring boom lifts from a local supplier before taking the leap and purchasing a 20 m Isoli PNT 205NLX articulated boom. The company plans to use the new dual pantograph boom for the installation and maintenance of telecoms and ICT infrastructure on commercial and residential buildings.

Darren Brown, founder and managing director of Orbital Net, said, “I was impressed with the Isoli build quality and safety features - particularly the cab protection system. I also like the variable position H-frame jacking on the 205NLX, as we often work on domestic house driveways where there is not always sufficient space to fully extend outriggers.”

Sussex Renovations Construction, which carries out painting, decorating and high level building maintenance for councils, companies and private residents in the Sussex area, decided to replace its 2007 CTE truck mount with an Isoli PNT230.

The PNT230 also features variable position H-frame outriggers - for working in tight areas, the stabilisers can be set so they do not protrude further than the cab width. It has a 230 kg safe working load, 22.5 m maximum working height and 11.3 m outreach.

Gary Chetland, managing director of Sussex Renovations, said, “The CTE served us well but the Isoli is an improvement in several key performance areas. These include increased basket capacity, additional working height and a huge increase in outreach.”
