UK’s Carrier acquires Watkins Hire

01 December 2016

UK-based Carrier Rental Systems (CRS) has continued its “long-term growth strategy” and announced the acquisition of Watkins Hire.

The company – which operates a temperature control rental service – works alongside companies such as SLD Pumps & Power, and has expanded its network through the acquisition of Watkins Hire, which supplies specialist temperature control rental equipment.

Richard Jones, managing director of Carrier’s heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) business, said, “We are delighted to have Watkins Hire become a part of our HVAC business in the UK.

“Watkins Hire is a respected company within the UK temperature control rental sector and will further enhance our ability to serve our customers – in terms of geographic presence, equipment availability and choice of service and product offerings.”

Jones added that Watkins Hire added specialist rental expertise in steam, heating and hot water boiler applications, and had a “strong presence” with key accounts in industry and events sectors.
