UpRight launches new venture and machines at Batimat

26 October 2009

At Batimat, the French building exhibition held 2 to 7 November in Paris, UpRight will officially launch its new sales and service operation for France and a new range of personal access platforms for indoor work.

UpRight says that it has previously sold good numbers of machines in France and now intends to reclaim its market position through a new venture, UPAF (UpRight Powered Access France).

Frederic Allier of UPAF said, "UpRight Powered Access France brings together expertise in spare parts, product support and sales of aerial lifts.

"This will deliver comprehensive nationwide coverage to equipment rental companies, plus end users such as construction and facilities management professionals."

The new family of personal access machines includes the PAX series of push-around scissor lifts, which are designed to be low cost, easy-to-use machines suitable for interior work such as that carried out by electric contractors, building maintenance and facilities management.

UpRight believes it is the first major aerial lift manufacturer to produce its own range of low level access platforms, more of which will be revealed at the company's distributor meeting to be held in Dubai in the middle of November. Access International will be on the spot to report on the new models.

UPAF is a collaborative venture between UpRight; product support specialists IPS France; and equipment sales company HELI.
